FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS - CRAFTY PALS KITS

WHAT ARE CRAFTY PALS?

Crafty Pals Kits are a line of cross stitch projects designed with young beginner stitchers in mind. Stitching is done on laser-cut wood shapes that are then assembled to create a figurine. The designs celebrate Canadian and North American wildlife and habitats with the goal of sparking young people's interest in caring for the natural world around them while learning a new crafting skill.

WHAT IS THE RECOMMENDED AGE FOR CRAFTY PALS KITS?

Although recommended for ages 7 and up, it's always important to take your child's personality into consideration when initiating them to new activities. Cross stitching requires patience and well developed fine motor skills. If your child can hold a small needle and is able to concentrate for a while, they are ready to try cross stitching (with supervision, of course)! Check out the various Crafty Pals kits here.

WILL I NEED ANY SUPPLIES OTHER THAN WHAT'S IN THE KIT?

Crafty Pals Kits come with all the supplies you need except for a pair of scissors. In a pinch, nail clippers can also be used to snip thread!

WHY ARE THERE TWO NEEDLES OF DIFFERENT SIZES IN MY KIT?

Crafty Pals kits include two needles just in case you misplace one. Both needles are suitable and you can use the one you prefer. After making a few stitches using the same hole, it may become a little tight for the larger needle to fit through. If you find that this is the case for you, you can switch to the smaller needle.

ARE CRAFTY PALS KITS ECO-FRIENDLY?

The long-term goal of the Pigeon Coop is to be a company where environmental care is a top priority. Every single aspect of the Crafty Pals Kits has been designed with sustainability in mind. The package, booklet and thread cards are all printed on recycled (and recyclable) paper. The wood pieces are cut using sustainable baltic birch and the laser cutting process produces little waste. Moreover, every bit of your Crafty Pals Kit was proudly designed, made and assembled in Canada (with the exception of the needles and thread, which are of high quality and sourced from France). Lastly, your kit is completely plastic-free and shipped using eco-friendly packaging!

ARE THESE KITS ONLY OFFERED IN ENGLISH?

No! Every printed material in the Crafty Pals Kits is fully bilingual (French & English).

DO YOU OFFER WHOLESALE FOR THIS LINE?

Crafty Pals Kits are not available for wholesale to shops and stores at the moment, although this may change in the future. Stay tuned!

Each one of the Pigeon Coop's kits is designed for personal use only. You may not reproduce, distribute, share or sell any part of the kit or the finished product made from it. If you see a completed piece for sale somewhere, please let me know.
